I am a student at Kansas State University for a B.A in Political Science with a minor in Leadership Studies and a secondary major in Global Food Systems Leadership. I plan on attending Graduate School for Public Administration. I'm academically driven and am involved heavily on campus through groups such as the Student Governing Association, Student Alumni Board, Marching Band, Food Security Scholars, and more! My biggest passions surround promoting and creating civic engagement, as well as systemic issues such as food insecurity. I have been able to tackle both of these through my work with Loud Light, the Voter Network, and multiple political campaigns in local elections. It is through my fellowship at Loud Light that has harnessed my creative thinking, problem-solving, passion, leadership, and interpersonal skills to engage young voters in the democratic process as well as educating others about participating in our democracy. It's through opportunities like these that have strengthened my passion for civic engagement and public service. I understand the strength of people, the power of policy, and the success we create when we are united. When I am not actively working, I enjoy spending my time in and around campus, involved in various organizations, with most of my time being dedicated to being a part of the "Pride of Wildcat Land" marching band. I also enjoy meeting community members, discussing community issues, and tackling those issues through community organizations, and finding new ways to serve people, either on-campus or in the greater community. I enjoy volunteering, supporting my community, trying new things, indulging in music, and surrounding myself with driven-individuals with diverse opinions and worldly perspectives.I have been described as a hard-working, dedicated, and passionate youth advocate and leader with great interpersonal, communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
