-Develop and implement an Asset Management Program for water control structures in the District which includes maintenance management, life-cycle management, breakdown and repair management, and capital improvement planning and implementation.-Ensure 24-hour monitoring and operation of District water control structures and pump stations.-Develop and manage the Section's budget and outsource strategies.-Utilize the Section's resources for the benefit of the District to ensure needs are met consistent with its Strategic Plan. -Serve as the District’s Structure Operations Section Chief in emergency management activities before, during and after major storm events and/or in conjunction with the overall emergency management strategy, operations and recovery for the State of Florida.-Hire, supervise, evaluate, develop, coach, discipline, discharge and otherwise lead and manage 14 professional and field staff.
