06/2016 – PRESENTPROJECT MANAGER, JOINT EMERGENCY TRAINING INSTITUTE (JETI Project)This project is being spearheaded by the LVMPD and is envisioned to provide comprehensive training to local, state and federal agencies operating in Nevada. My job entails project management for multiple concurrent projects, construction management, fundraising, presentations to all levels of city, state and federal agencies, budget management, planning, and final approvals.

I provide reality based, real time practical training with an emphasis on tactical survival skills and technical firearms operations. I develop and utilize effective training programs based on current issues, provide education and deadly force training to all LVMPD firearm carriers, provide basic firearms training for police recruits, provide continuing in-service firearms training, provide armorer services to LVMPD weapons carriers to ensure all firearms are serviceable and in good repair, constantly re-evaluate the departments’ firearms, ammunition, and tactics through ballistic testing, evaluation of officer involved shootings and force-on-force testing as well as keeping current of trends in the firearms industry. I instruct a variety of firearms related classes as assigned, conduct Quarterly Firearm Qualifications, develop qualification courses, develop firearms related advanced training courses, write, update and maintain lesson plans, instruct Police and Corrections Recruits in firearm related skills, research and document Supreme Court decisions, criminal laws, submitted articles and new policies, write articles, test and evaluate firearm related equipment, assist in Range set-up and maintenance. Furthermore I maintain and update records using modern technologies, review training programs, develop and present specialized firearm related training, monitor range operations to ensure that safety rules are being followed and that C.A.L.E.A. (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) Accreditation Standards are met.
