Sinai Hospital in Baltimore is one of the many Hospitals under the Life Bridge Health System. Sinai Hospital is a few minutes outside of Baltimore cities but handles a multitude of cases from the local suburban area and the city. As a volunteer I had an invaluable experience serving both the patients and staff. As a volunteer I had an invaluable experience serving both the patients and staff. Some of the experiences I was able to participate in included: • Observing Emergency Room facilities including triage, rapid evaluation unit, pediatrics, trauma, chest pain, and emergent care• Transporting patients to their rooms in the ER• Visiting patients and provided blankets to the patients• Assisting nurses and medical technicians with simple tasks (organizing blood pressure cuffs, getting extra supplies, and such)• Observing nurses and technicians taking vitals, blood work, EKGs, and triaging patients• Observing medical emergencies Show less
