I am a Structural Engineer at Jacobs with 4 years' experience in a range of different teams. I currently work as part of the Buildings structures team in London. I have been structural lead for the design of large industrial substations, leading a team of 4-5 engineers and modellers, making independent design decisions, reviewing deliverables, coordinating with other disciplines and managing the delivery of the project to challenging deadlines. I have also worked on a variety of multi-storey and portal frame buildings. I have also undertaken inspections at airports, listed buildings and stadiums. I have experience in Robot, STAAD, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit and Mathcad.For my first 2 years at Jacobs, I was part of the Nuclear & Defence team in Glasgow, working on a major UK defence project. I was involved in carrying out engineering detailed design calculations, fracture and fatigue analysis, writing structural specifications, scope of works documents, leading weekly meetings with the sub-contractor and supporting Senior Management in the Business Case for the framework. In 2023, I undertook a 6-month secondment into the Marine & Costal team in Dubai, UAE where I worked on some of the largest engineering projects in the world within the UAE and Saudi Arabia.I graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a Master's degree with Distinction in Civil Engineering in June 2020.
