I am a Registered Liquidator and have over 17 years experience in all forms of personal and corporate insolvency with the Melbourne and Hobart offices of SMB Advisory.I am a professional member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (CA ANZ), Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA) and Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).I have broad experience in a number of business sectors, including pharmaceuticals, gaming and hospitality, property, construction, warehousing and distribution, export, and particularly all things farming and agriculture / agribusiness. I also have significant experience in providing insolvency advice for farmers via our strong connection to the Rural Financial Counselling Service and conducting investigative accountant’s reports on distressed borrowers on behalf of the major banks.I obtained a significant amount of practical experience before joining SMB Advisory in 2006, where I spent 10 years operating my own small business in the building industry. This practical grounding allows me to commercially resolve complex insolvency matters, by being able to draw on real-world experience.In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my young family and am passionate about improving tennis participation in the community via my volunteer roles as Director/Treasurer of Tennis Victoria and President of the West Lalor Tennis Club, which was awarded the Most Outstanding Tennis Club in Victoria in 2018. I was fortunate to be awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) on 8 June 2020 for my contribution to tennis and accountancy profession.
