Since I was young I always had drive to fix things and figure out how they worked. Growing up I would tear stuff apart just to see what was going on inside with the determination of learning as much as I could. This passion followed me through high school, I would work on anything I could find. Cell phones and other small electronics, computers, TV's, home appliances, bikes, cars, riding lawn equipment, and much more. I loved the thrill of the hunt involved with trouble shooting and problem solving and still thrive on it today.After high school, I became a student at the Hennepin Technical College, I attended all of my classes at the campus located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. I enrolled in the Fluid Power Engineering Technologies A.A.S. program. I completed the degree and also was awarded a Certified Fluid Power Specialist certification from the International Fluid Power Society for passing the required fluid power based exams. I had great instructors who built off my love and passion for all things technical and helped me develop my technical skills further then I ever thought possible.I have been fortunate since I finished school with opportunities to experience multiple avenues of industry. Some of the fields I have worked in include; Technical Support Specialist, Applications Assistance, Certified Lab Assistant (Instructor’s Assistant), Machine Building, Research and Development Engineering Testing, Field Service, Maintenance, and now Building Operations. I am currently working as a Lead Operating Engineer, this work involves everything from shop/inventory management and technician work to correspondence with engineering and outside contractors. I am currently enrolled at Hennepin Technical College for an A.A.S. degree in Automation Robotics Engineering Technology which will be completed this next spring 2021. Next fall I plan on starting a B.S. of Embedded Robotics Systems.
