- Coordinates with assigned Foreman and/or other trades for completing projects and work orders efficiently. - Diagnoses causes of electrical problems or failures in assigned systems for identifying equipment and/or systems repair. - Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and building regulations. - Analyzes blue prints, schematics, and drawings of fire alarm and/or other related electrical systems for determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems. - Installs and systematically programs electrical system components as assigned (e.g. panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors, etc.) for providing enhanced and/or upgraded system capabilities. - Monitors the work of outside contractors completing electric and fire alarm system projects (e.g. new school sites, electrical system upgrades/expansions, major remodels, etc.) in order to ensure that the projects are satisfactory completed and within local / State / Federal and District codes, regulations, and specifications.

- Inspects electrical and fire alarm systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance. - Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and building regulations. - Verify fire alarm signals with monitoring company and troubleshoot any issues with fire alarm panels and systems. - Maintains records by documenting installation. Set-up work sites with proper wiring procedures to ensure best possible inspection field to detectbreaches in waterproofing systems.Create initial sketches of areas inspected upon completion.
