As European Technical Director I am responsible for Leadership of the Technical group of science and engineering professionals in both Research & Development and Quality Departments across the Europe, Middle East Africa and India (EMEAI) region. Hold an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Materials Science, and Lean Sigma Master Black Belt. I have a broad chemistry, materials science and engineering knowledge.I have over 15 years industrial experience with 9 in management positions and am a member of the European Minteq Management team who provide leadership for the growth of Minteq’s business in the region. New Product Introductions (NPI). I have R&D management responsibility for; new product design, development and introduction. This includes project management to transfer new products to the different production plants in the region, and technical support of field trials at customer sites. • Work with Supply Chain/ Operations team to source and evaluate new raw materials and suppliers. • Responsible for implementation of the Minteq Lean & Operational Excellence programme in the laboratories in Europe, through use of Lean product development (LPD), VOC, HOQ, Standard Work, FMEA, Kaizen events, Kanban, Kata, Gemba walks, 5S and Value stream mapping. Secured IDA funding under the lean Plus programme for support of Corporate Operation Excellence programme at the Cork site.• Have previously have worked in QA in the pharmaceutical industry. • Successfully completed Lean Sigma Master Black Belt (MTU) and also Graduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the Irish Management Institute (IMI).• Travelled extensively throughout the world presenting new technology to Customers and Minteq Sales team, while also providing technical support.
