• Managing a number of fleets with an overall vessel count of just over 80 • Purchasing provisions and slop chest items for vessels, ensuring timely, cost effective delivery within allocated budgets of PMPD Feeding Rate in line with stock Remaining on Board • Responsible for full, economical and timely delivery of provisions, through liaising with captains, port agents, as well as vessel owners to minimise unnecessary costs • Adjusting orders and working with the client to meet… Show more • Managing a number of fleets with an overall vessel count of just over 80 • Purchasing provisions and slop chest items for vessels, ensuring timely, cost effective delivery within allocated budgets of PMPD Feeding Rate in line with stock Remaining on Board • Responsible for full, economical and timely delivery of provisions, through liaising with captains, port agents, as well as vessel owners to minimise unnecessary costs • Adjusting orders and working with the client to meet victualling budgets as well as bringing vessels into line who are not meeting targets • Monitoring purchasing performance and selecting suppliers based on competitive prices as well as the service provided • Continual point of contact for any provisions communication from the client, answering queries and available out of hours to the need of the business. • Liaising with Catering Superintendents to arrange vessel inspections and assist with galley management, also visit vessels personally as appropriate • Following up on all orders post-delivery, recording these and raising any issues with the supplier relationship team • Working with Inventory Books Department to analyse monthly inventories as per budget and generate reports Show less
