I graduated from CPUT and received my Master of Technology Degree in Environmental Health. The knowledge I gained through the research conducted as part of my studies has proven invaluable in allowing me to build a career as an Environmental Specialist and Health and Safety Manager in a variety of sectors. Through my years of studying and working in different industries, I became fascinated with waste management in general and the link between climate change and non-existing, substandard, ineffective, and/or unsustainable waste disposal, recovery, and recycling systems. More specifically, identifying potential resources embedded in waste streams and developing resource recovery techniques seems to satisfy my intellectual curiosity. I’m currently involved with multiple waste recycling and recovery projects and I constantly research new and existing waste management technologies and techniques to further my knowledge of the subject matter. Further to this, I have a keen interest in ESG Support, carbon management, reduction strategies, footprinting, and offsetting.
