As a Product development engineer with a masters in mechanical engineering and additional experience in manufacturing, electrical, and biomedical engineering, I can add immediate value in the areas of product line design, development, testing, and continuous improvement. In addition to the project management, customer relations, and design for manufacturability experience I have gained in my current role, I have a background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement at Midwest Electric, quality assurance and manufacturing engineering at Medtronic, instrumentation and 3D-CAD at Notre Dame, and dealt with strict regulatory processes while working on clinical projects at IU Health. These opportunities helped me refine my critical thinking and analytical skills and learn to work with various disciplines on deadline driven projects.I also had the opportunity to apply all these engineering principles while performing fluid systems design as a graduate student at Notre Dame. During this time that I gained valuable experience combining much of my engineering knowledge to develop key experimental flow loops, monitoring equipment, and operational protocols, while working with suppliers to ensure conformance to specified design criteria. While my experience designing and developing these fluid systems has primarily been in the context of testing medical devices, my application of hydraulic principles, instrumentation, mechanical design, adherence to regulatory requirements and each of the other skills I have developed is transferrable to engineering in any state-of-the-art environment. I am a quick learner with a varied and well-rounded engineering background who would be an asset to any multidisciplinary team.
