However we overcame these and successfully penetrated retail, distribution in a number of key Latin America countries including Mexico where I ended up opening a satellite office to provide local sales and marketing support to our retail and distribution partners there.In addition we gained significant penetration online within North America selling upwards of 20,000 pcs per month in one retailer of a particular LED item. My day to day responsibilities included all facets of a busy sales and marketing office including the development of our sales and marketing strategy, the creation and implementation of supply chain, finance, administration and HR processes and systems. After a board decision to change the direction of the business to focus on the commercial LED projects side our our business, I recommended my replacement to the board and was offered the position of General Manager in Hong Kong.
