Assisted in starting a commercial label with the Yates brothers, primarily focusing on red wines from their historic Mt. Veeder family vineyard. Interfaced with the crush facility on winemaking SOP from grape to bottle. Directed the oak barrel program of the red wines, made blending decisions and assisted with finding new vineyards for purchased fruit. Inaugural release coming in 2024.

Interfaced between the winemaking and cellar team, utilizing in house lab analysis to make winemaking decisions. Implemented new enzymatic assays to improve lab efficiency. Organized and led tasting/blending sessions with input on key blend decisions. During harvest: fruit receival with weigh-master duties, assisted in managing harvest lab operations, assisted production supervisor in transitioning to Innovint and work order creation with training of cellar staff on digital work order completion within the system. I was an integral part of the quick transition to the new cave winery during the middle of harvest 2022 that included troubleshooting new equipment, understanding workflow operations to improve efficiency with safety being top of mind within a new facility and training cellar staff on operating a new basket press as well as general press operations.
