As an Architect / Project Manager Andrew has responsibilities including :• Producing construction documents from start to finish for custom lake front homes and light commercial projects• Contributing to schematic and design development• Researching applicable building and accessibility codes• Performing product research and selection of materials• Reviewing shop drawings and coordinating with all building disciplines, including structural & mechanical engineers and contractors• Producing structural framing drawings with coordination from engineers• Applying artistic and technical skills to create freehand sketches and color architectural presentations and renderings• Assisting in and leading design meetings with clients• Performing walk-throughs with clients and electrical contractors to locate final lighting and switching locations• Supervising a small group of draftsman / designers• Performing project management tasks, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting, and contract writing• Performing material takeoffs and gathered pricing from local distributors• Assisting in-house engineers with mapping of project sites• Maintaining close relationships with contractors and overseeing construction to ensure projects are built per plans• Performing day-to-day office operations: filing drawings, making blue prints, maintaining computer network

Constructed additions and renovations from initial framing to finish work, including installation of windows and doors, tile and hardwood floors, gypsum wall board, vinyl and clapboard siding and asphalt roof shingles.

Worked in conjunction with Massport to provide soundproof windows and doors in neighborhoods surrounding Logan International Airport by measuring existing windows and doors to be replaced and providing schematic plans to aid contractors in the completion of work.
