Since receiving a promotion I have received several more areas of responsibility within GM Financial Database Architecture. Most notably is being assigned to the Performance Tuning team to help make design decisions on how to improve overall speed of data movement. I've worked very closely with Oracle DBA's, ETL developers, and industry experts to help come up with designs that allow our processes to stay within service level agreements, and to move huge volumes of data. I am continually working on analyzing current processes and finding ways to improve performance of those processes, in addition to implementing design standards for future development efforts.

Working for GM Financial our core business function is originating and servicing loans/leases. To enable our business to efficiently service customers, we have a diverse set of vendor applications. Those vendor applications hosted outside of GM Financial require data integration. The design of the data integration into GM Financial from various vendor systems, and subsequently presenting that data to GM Financial business customers is where I come in.
