I have wanted to be an accountant since I was 11, made my first stock investments by the age of 12, and have tried to grow from there ever since. I believe that if you are not constantly moving forward, then you are moving backward. I would describe my learning style as attempting something new, growing and learning from the experience, becoming a better person, and then repeating the process. My family, friends, and colleagues can always expect me to have a plan and tell it how it is, be an active listener and learner, and put the weight of my burning passion behind everything I do.In my professional life, I take pride in being different and strive to find opportunities where others do not, or in places where others have failed. I take immense pleasure in dense problem solving and I am at the peak of my game when my back is seemingly against the wall. I overcome these problems with a long term approach. With enough effort, passion, and time, anything you put your mind to can be achieved. I can and will outlast any problem I face.Owning my own LLC taught me that, behind closed doors, business is messy and nothing like the glint and glamour portrayed in the movies; late nights and lack of sleep, stressful deadlines, and a significant dose of daily criticism. But, the sometimes-messy days eventually relent and reveal experiences that have shaped the man I am today:• The thrill of getting my hands dirty and coming out cleaner on the other side• The exhilaration of rallying my team and discovering stronger versions of ourselves• The joy of creating something charitable in myself, with employees and for the community I live inI am a voracious reader, long distance runner, and music junky. Suggest a business or investing book to me and I’ll read anything that I can get my hands on. Running is my body’s meditation. When you are pounding the pavement, running long distance, you find out who you are and what you are made of. Of course, no run is complete without my music.
