Chartered Engineer with over 25 years specialist experience within the geotechnical, building, construction, transportation and mining industries. Experience has encompassed construction sites, landfill facilities, property developments, drainage works, highway schemes, railway upgrading works, flood rehabilitiation schemes and the restoration and development of mines and quarries. Assignments have required desk studies, site surveys, design and co-ordination of ground investigations, analytical assessment of ground conditions, design and specification of earthworks and structure foundations, appraisal of derelict and contaminated sites, interpretation of ground movement and unstable slopes, development of geotechnical designs and solutions, and the implementation of remedial works.Acts as expert witness carrying out investigations and reporting on accidents, failures and disputes predominantly in connection with civil, geotechnical and health and safety matters including flooding, drainage, unstable ground, slope instability, pollution and personal injury.
