I work at the intersection of national security, social welfare, and innovation. I strongly believe in the power of multistakeholder initiatives and pursue a career using them to improve the policy, workforce, and opportunities at home in California and the San Francisco Bay Area. My passion is connecting Silicon Valley to Washington DC, shaping incentives, reframing challenges, and developing language to maximize mutual gains for public-private partnerships that expand opportunities to underserved communities. I am focused on reshaping the acquisitions and procurement landscape. I believe in the power national multistakeholder initiatives hold for expanding force readiness while leveraging commercial technologies in an era of strategic competition. Alongside this, I strongly assert such initiatives provide an opportunity to diversify innovation ecosystems while providing a greater network of problem-solvers that ultimately improve traditional contractors’ capabilities. I draw this to a greater thesis that argues this approach for national security expands engineering and STEM pathways while investing in communities nationwide participating in contract competition. Before attending UC Berkeley I worked to improve representation for underrepresented groups in regional media coverage, organized non-profits to aid families impacted by the pandemic, and drew national attention for an initiative using technology to increase the value of state funds for education by over 1000%. At UC Berkeley I lead and participate in working groups on topics from the future of cybersecurity to the proliferation of nuclear weapons. I lead societies and communities of students across the campus, and greater region, that have improved student accessibility to world leaders and shapers of the political space. I studied and worked in Washington DC, meeting with leaders and brilliant individuals shaping my areas of interest. I also studied abroad in Paris and worked while traveling across Europe and the Middle East. I am a lifelong organizer and participant in community renovation, beach cleanup, and homelessness initiatives. I grew up working sales in my grandfather's store as young as ten and grew up going to my mother’s work, Pixar. This has shaped my deep care for small businesses and their role in stable policy and the innovation ecosystem, while my interest in creativity and technology was shaped by the impressively creative environment of brilliant innovators, artists, celebrities, and prominent world leaders, which taught me to think in ways no school could have done.
