Full Managed Service provision is a new concept in News Technology. The prime function of this role is to develop a mature capability within News to adopt more and more of these services.This role will Lead the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and the Extract Transform Load (ETL) application support teams and the partners that develop operate and support our integration services.The priority for this role is the ensuring that the operation of the ESB and ETL platforms is in line with agreed Service Management Plan (SMP)This role will facilitate the pipeline of work required to meet the requirements of the business. This includes planning regular releases of functionality within the Information and Integration Framework (either out of the box or developed). This role should constantly review and refine the reporting and communications with the managed service provider through Continuous Process Improvement. This will involve evolving the reporting, the KPIs, the communication standards and the contract so that both parties mature a tight relationshipDevelop a series of Strategic KPIs aimed at ensuring that the relationship is always building on the success of the pastThe role works closely with the Enterprise architecture team who will define the standards and principles for design, development and execution.This role works with National Operations and Infrastructure to ensure continuous delivery to agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) Innovation in this role will be focused on implementing appropriate functionality within the ESB and ETL product sets, and continuously improving the support processes in these areas.Find new avenues for increasing the managed service provision within News.
