I have recently completed my PhD in Information Technology, where I investigated ways to reduce sickness when using virtual reality technology. I am foremost a software developer, with a keen focus on producing effective application for end users. However, I also bring skills in design, project management and teaching from my time at Griffith University and working within the IDEA Lab.I have years of experience working with Unity for VR application development during my PhD, however I normally work with C++ or Javascript for other projects. I have written programs for 3D rendering with OpenGL, developed automatic card readers with OpenCV and built several applications to visualise data for my PhD or to pull measurements from hardware I used. While my PhD was based around VR technology, I am always looking for a new challenge and just love to learn new topics.When not working or studying, you'll often find me out at the Laidley Golf Club, where I help run tournaments, maintain and develop their IT systems and of course, play golf.
