I left formal education at 16 years of age and on my very first day in the big wide world, I attended two interviews, one of which was with an international trading company working within their shipping department and from that moment I knew that I had found my true vocation. At twenty one years of age, I was presented with an opportunity to form my own company and Hemisphere was born. In those early days, I not only went out and developed opportunities, but also took care of the operational and administrative requirements too and when we first branched into warehousing it was not uncommon to even head over to the warehouse after normal office hours to get stuck in to the unloading of a 40’ container or too! In those days, we did not have a gym on every corner and it was always a very satisfying work out after a day on the road or in the office! Fast Forward 29 years and Hemisphere has grown significantly to become one of the leading UK independent International logistics providers with equal strength across all modes of transport.
