Conducting Volcker, conduct, compliance and risk focussed Independent Management Testing on multi-asset businesses and providing consultancy in order to improve technological efficiency and business controls.

Following the firm’s listing on AIM, I was retained as a consultant to improve the firm’s processes, systems and management reporting..

Based in London, I worked with the Moscow office to initiate, design, develop and market the firm’s multi-asset DMA, Algorithmic & Electronic Execution platform accessing the Russian market.

Responsible for the day to day management and ongoing development / growth of the International Execution trading desk executing single stock and programme orders across 50+ markets. Established and developed the International Execution desk in 2004 upon leaving IT and moving to the front-office. Daily responsibilities involved desk and team management as well as hands-on execution, client advising, marketing and support as required. The role also required a high degree of system specification, project / change management and sponsorship from a front-office point of view.

Initiated a tactical electronic order routing and IOI capability and following its success, from a technology function entrepreneurially cemented the strategy, business case and sponsorship for a multi-domiciled project to initiate ING’s electronic order receipt / connectivity capability based on the existing in-house systems. This role also involved personally managing the onboarding of clients onto the ING platform and managing the appropriate vendor relationships on behalf of the business.

Project managed the implementation of a leading execution system across ING’s Western European offices as well as its integration into the incumbent position keeping, risk and order management systems.
