I am interested in the concept and use of evidence-based practice in environmental management. In 2007 I founded, with colleagues, the Collaboration for Environmental Evidence (CEE, www.environmentalevidence.org) which supports the conduct and reporting of environmental evidence synthesis and acts as a reliable source of evidence on environmental impacts of human actions and effectiveness of environmental interventions worldwide. The CEE publishes evidence syntheses based on the best available scientific evidence to inform decision making in conservation and environmental management. I am also Professor of Evidence-Based Conservation, Bangor University, UK and Editor in Chief of the journal Environmental Evidence (www.environmentalevidencejournal.org).
