I am a government lawyer, working in the Office of General Counsel at the Australian Government Solicitor based in Canberra. In that role, I prepare advices on complex constitutional law and statutory interpretation issues. Outside of AGS, I work as a sessional academic at the Australian National University, teaching in Property Law and Contract Law. In 2023 I was awarded the ANU College of Law prize for excellence in tutoring.Outside of my work, I research in the areas of technology law and constitutional law and have published a number of journal articles considering the impacts of misinformation and disinformation on global democracies. My paper, Analysing the types of evidence used by Australian federal parliamentary committees (co-authored with Arabella Young and Will J. Grant) was shortlisted for the 2022 Sam Richardson Award and my research was also recognised in 2019 when I was named the Global Winner in Law at the Global Undergraduate Awards for my work assessing the implications of the use of AI in government decision-making, this work was published in 2020. Outside of my work and research I have coached a number of ANU mooting teams with notable results including: 2023 Oxford Intellectual Property Law Moot Quarter-finals, 2023 Kirby Contract Law Moot Winner, 2023 Gibbs Constitutional Law Moot Semi-finals, 2024 UNSW Private Law Moot Winner, 2024 Nuremberg Moot Oral rounds (top 40 globally).
