EXPERIENCE:I have worked in several divergent industries over the years, including media, retail and government. My education is in journalism and the arts and I have used that in print publication, blogging and photography. I have worked for the Ottawa Sun newspaper (web archive/writer), Carver Communications (media monitor), Anthropologie (manager/merchandiser), Zone Maison (manager/merchandiser) and Elections Canada (recruitment officer). I returned to Anthropologie shortly after lockdown, which is where I currently work. Please see below for more details about these positions.PERSONAL CREATIVE PROJECTS: I am a self-published cookbook author: a passion project that emerged during lockdown. I decided to use the time to write, photograph and publish two cookbooks based on my baking experiences during our time in lockdown. Only 100 copies were published and they were sold online. I am the host of a popular Martha Stewart fan blog, Martha Moments, which has garnered the attention of CNN, ABC and Martha Stewart herself. The Instagram and Facebook components of this project have a combined following of more than 16,000, with daily readership of the blog itself totaling 500 hits per day.PHILOSOPHY: I'm a highly-creative individual capable of working in fast-paced environments with an inspiring team to achieve a common goal. I'm self-starting, deadline-oriented and curious with an appetite for learning. I enjoy working in an environment that is creative and with a team that is inspired - independently or in close collaboration. I love new ideas and exploring their potential.While I have worked in several different industries over the years, the common thread for me has always been a love of telling stories, whether that is through the written word and photography, merchandising a retail space to communicate a feeling or concept, or connecting with customers, voters and readers to find out about their stories.
