I initially went to college to be an accountant. Figured out pretty quickly that accounting was not for me, so I decided to fall back on what I have always loved... computers. I found an interest in programming for a purpose. I don't like to sit down and code large applications, but I have found a strong interest in scripting. If I ever find myself doing something frequently, I like to ask how can I make this quicker and easier. If it is something that can be automated you bet I will try to script it. One way I sought to create value for Bank of America has been by automating report generation. My work experience has allowed me to work very closely with team members across multiple generations, and that has helped me to grow and get the most out of my time. While I might not have as much in common with my older coworkers, I have found that they are always willing to share their tips and tricks on topics ranging from work/career advice to the best local food or why I should hate Tom Brady.When I am not working, I enjoy watching football and baseball, fishing, playing computer games every now and then, Sudoku, and cooking. I love to cook and when you get to share your food with friends it makes it even more enjoyable.
