As one of 9 appointed advisors of the Finance Board at Illinois Institute of Technology, I collaborated with over 15 student organizations, ranging from 15 to 100 members, to manage the allocation of a $500,000 fund from the IIT Student Activities Fund. My role involved serving as the primary liaison, navigating strict financial policies to ensure each organization received the appropriate level of funding. This required scheduling and leading numerous meetings, guiding organizations through their budget submissions, clarifying funding eligibility, and optimizing their requests within the established guidelines.Additionally, I worked alongside a small group of advisors to review more than 100 budget submissions, assessing each for eligibility and determining which budgets required revisions or approval. Through this process, I played a key role in deciding final budget allocations and voting on funding distribution, ensuring that funds were allocated fairly and efficiently to support campus initiatives.

Throughout my time as an IIT Senator, I worked closely with campus administration as Vice Chair of the Public Safety Committee, improving campus illumination and increasing accessible recourses for students to use in unsafe situations. My main project as a senator was my advocacy for accountability and working to streamline processes within the legislative and senatorial processes. I was able to implement structure into the various committees, leading to an appointment to the executive board.
