Experienced Flight simulator Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the airlines/aviation industry dealing directly with the public. Worked on retired flight simulators that we updated to modern specs for a range of customers from the public, to enthusiasts to professional pilots looking to practice. Airbus, Boeing, GA, rotary and WWII fighters that were networked together. Wide range of skills involved including design, projected visual displays, computerised instrument displays, switch wiring, lighting, coms systems and more.For fun and as a volunteer I can be found leading hikes around the UK and leading tours on the water on kayaks and paddleboards. Also open my small home by the canal to travellers (Couchsurfing) and recently a refugee.During COVID times I was part of an effort building and distributing face visors for free, ended up running the West Midlands area on the 3D printing side and expanding to use a Totec laser cutter to mass produce them until the Government contracts caught up.More recently hands on experience with CAD (fusion 360), 3D printing, wiring, Arduino based boards with flight simulators and Airsoft being the most worked on. Often getting my hands dirty I've had a few 'cheap' motorcycles that have required work on everything from the engine internals, brakes and electronics.Previous experience in Game Design (various engines), 3D modelling (Blender, 3Ds Max, Fusion 360) and Game Programming and fixing (LUA, C++, XML).
