I have been working in the printing industry in one way or another for the past 20 or so years. This is where I started my career in print.I began on the shop floor working in each of the various print departments, finishing up in the office managing various signage accounts, including the work for Jet and Blockbuster.

This was my first full time job.I wanted to be a draftsman, drawing the layouts for shop signs, however I spent most of my time printing off copies of drawings on a smelly old dye line printer and filing the drawings away.However, my career path took a change when I started using an old vinyl cutting machine (that had been sitting around redundant) to make signs around the office. The company started utilising the machines to produce bigger internal and external signs for some of their retail accounts, including Safeways, BMW and various independant tobacco shops. This progressed further such that the company invested in bigger and better equipment that I produced electronic files on to run computer controlled laser cutters and routers.
