Working in multi disciplinary team supporting comorbid clients who are often stepped down to us from intense Psychiatric admission or incarceration. Role requires high level social work approach and liaison with stakeholders such as GP and Psychiatrists, DHHS, Child Protection, Refugee Legal, AOD services, Department of Justice and Community and Social support services and networks. Assistance with transition and advocacy to NDIS participation regularly required and ongoing relationship building with Primary Health Network and others. Clinical aspect with credentialed mental health nurses a part of multi disciplinary team with an overall holistic and client centered focus.

Counselling and Life Coaching consulting with clients on a wide range of issues including relationships, anxiety and depression, addictions, family therapy and more. Therapies include person centred, solution focused, C.B.T. and Gestalt.

Provide counselling and support to family members and clients who have a loved one who is struggling with or recovering from addiction.Provide referral services to clients to relevant community services after discussing and assessing their unique and specific needs. Help clients to reintegrate into their local communities.Attend training sessions and ongoing supervision to increase knowledge and skills and to enhance personal and professional development.Have attended support groups and psycho educational groups as both an observer and support person to the group facilitator.
