I have a bachelors degree in Construction Management and currently work for a small construction company in coastal North Carolina. I work directly for the owner managing his projects. We build spec homes, custom homes, small commercial projects, and remodels. I schedule subs, estimate projects, bid projects, draft house plans, meet with clients, manage budgets, order materials, insure quality workmanship, provide warranty work, participate in framing and other subcontracting work as my schedule allows, and provide solutions to problems as they arise daily. I have some experience on the commercial side of construction but most of my experience has been in residential. All together, I have four plus years working in finish carpentry, foundations, framing, roofing, exterior and interior finish work, some electrical and plumbing, drafting, and landscaping.
