Deputy team leader of a team directed to promote a culture of Continual Improvement at RAFC Cranwell.The role included: • Organising and managing and facilitating Continuous Improvement (CI) events.• Presenting CI awareness briefs and production of awareness material.• Auditing of departments across the complex.• Manage Self Audit program for 22 personnel within department.On arrival it soon became clear the processes were out of date and there was very little awareness of CI on the unit. This was exacerbated by the Officer Commanding post being vacant. The team was tasked to review all its practises. The CI event process, event guide, awareness guide and presentation were re-written. All section managers were approached with an offer to give an awareness presentation. From this was gained an auditable process, improved awareness and multiple requests for assistance, resulting in confidence that the unit was constantly reviewing practices with the aim of continually improving.

Part of a small team managing and monitoring the Support Engineering aspects of the Sentry aircraft Whole Life Support Programme Contract involving both military and 4 civilian companies.The role included:• Resolving contractor enquiries and requests across a range of services, consulting relevant experts in order to deal with contractor requirements.• Co-facilitating a hangar improvement event involving RAF and contractor personnel.• Lead in the investigation for the upgrading of the Sentry aircraft wash system.• Production of multiple processes and liaison between Contractors and Aircraft Project Team during improvement events.
