As adjunct faculty, I have taught an undergraduate course (Animal Sampling and ID) and a graduate level course (Conservation Biology). I also supervise graduate students studying large carnivore conflict work on lions in Botswana and tigers in India.

My responsibilities at Landmark are instructing students with learning differences including dyslexia, ADHD and ASD in the natural sciences. I have procured funding for research projects coordinated with the local conservation commission and advised the Environmental Club. I also have served on the latest search committee for a department hire and sit on the Rank and Promotion Task Force. I lead a study abroad program to Botswana and engage in research with the local Conservation Commision with students.

As research coordinator, I was responsible for the management of logistics for a remote field camp, supervision of graduate student research on the large carnivore guild (lions, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas and wild dogs), hiring of local assistants and staff and maintaining positive relationships with government, community members, neighboring tourist and hunting operators and donors. I helped with animal darting and tracking and co-authored several manuscripts from the collective work.

I conducted my PhD research on leopard ecology and conservation on the commercial farmlands of northcentral Namibia. I coordinated work with government, livestock farmers and researchers to understand the economic and ecological impacts of maintaining leopards on commercial farms. This work included animal capture, GPS and radiotracking and questionnaire surveys of farmers, tourists and hunters. I opportunistically collected data on brown hyenas, cheetahs and herbivores within the study area. I also raised money from government agencies, private donors and non-government organizations for research expenses throughout the study.

My responsibilities included tracking African wild dogs as they reestablished themselves in the ranchlands of Laikipia, Kenya. I assisted with capture and immobilization of wild dogs, ground and aerial radiotracking, diet analysis and collecting information from commercial and communal farmers on carnivore conflicts.

Initiated a leopard project in a new area- capturing and radiotracking leopards on commercial farms.

I assisted with the training of beluga whales and dolphins at the World of the Dolphin.
