I then started working on the sales and installation side of the business on a wide range of projects for theatres, TV studios, museums and the education sector all over the world. After 15 years of working on the supply and installation side I realised it was the design side that really interested me and Drama by Design was formed.We have worked on projects large and small all over the country and overseas. Formed the business to carry out installation projects in the entertainment industry and handle the UK distribution of Compulite.The business grew steadily to a turnover of £2M with 10 full time staff.

Initially joined the company to start up two divisions: Turnkey Projects to carry out stage lighting and sound installation projects and Compulite GB to handle the UK distribution of Compulite.Eventually started and ran jointly a new division called Lighting Technology Projects.

Worked on sales and project management of stage lighting and sound projects all over the UK and Europe as well as being heavily involved with the UK distribution of Compulite.

I worked initially as chief electrician eventually being proomoted to technical manager and appointed to the board.Worked on a range of weekly rep and variety shows as lighting and sound designer/operator and scenery designer. Whilst at the theatre I also worked as technical director on national and international tours.
