A design team member responsible for undertaking the structural design of various building projects, under the supervision of a Project Director. For many of the projects I am also responsible for producing the working drawings alongside a designated technician. Structural calculations are completed by utilising a combination of computer design software packages and manual techniques, whilst all drawing work is undertaken on AutoCAD 2012. Key tasks include production of structural calculations for various materials (Concrete, steel, masonry and timber) and also producing the working drawings for that project. I also delegate work, where necessary, to other team members and liaise with other organizations if required.

Key team member delivering multiple project design packages within challenging target deadlines. Use of Industry techniques and codes of practice to produce innovative, bespoke design solutions. Key responsibilities also included delegation of tasks to design team members. Non-Technical aspects of the role include research and liaison with internal and external organisations, both in the UK and internationally.

A design team member responsible for completing structural design projects utilising both computer design software and manual techniques. Key tasks include production of structural analysis and design calculations for various materials, including steel, concrete, timber and masonry - regularly using more complex analysis procedures such as portal/wind frames, balanced foundations and flat slab design.

Supporting the Site Agent/Senior Engineer to plan and implement numerous aspects of civil construction projects on multiple sites. Day to day activities included setting out of foundations, steelwork, roads, kerb-lines and drainage. This was achieved by utilising various surveying procedures and techniques such as total stations, automatic levels, pipe lasers and rotating laser levels. Also responsible for material control, site administration and H+S/CDM procedures including issuing permits to work and Quality Assurance.
