Serve as a Construction Engineering Technician Warrant Officer across the broad spectrum of engineer operations Plans, supervises and coordinates construction of base camps and internment facilities from the ground up in support of engineer construction operations. Coordinates with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other external organizations in support of the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) federal disaster relief missions.  Iraqi Training and Assistance Team Air Force, Camp Striker, Iraq: Served as the Project Manager for a 10,000SF, $360,000 building remodel for a Two Star United States Air Force General. This 4-month project was completed one month ahead of schedule and resulted in a savings of $400,000 for the United States Government. Kalsu Medical Treatment Facility, FOB Kalsu, Iraq: Served as the Project Manager for a 13,000SF, $105,000 Hospital new-build to support all United States Forces in Iraq.  Served as the Project Manager in all aspects for 29 projects from inception to completion over the course of 1 year totaling $ 2 million dollars for the United States Army.  Performed cost and manpower estimating for military construction projects spanning 15 years.  450 hours documented coursework hours in leadership and construction courses including, but not limited to Surveying, Road and Culvert Design, Soils engineering (CBR Design), Drainage Design, Concrete mix designs, Design specifications, Development of Architectural Design, Construction Estimating and Scheduling (CPM driven), Site Utilization, Interior and Exterior Utilities, Quality Compliance, AutoCAD Applications, OSHA Overview, Vertical Construction, Project Management, Comply with Host Nation, Federal, State, and Local Environmental Laws and Regulations, Contracting Support Requirements, Project Risk Management, Construction Management, Building Code Compliance Inspections, and Project QA/QC

Project Superintendent / Manager: Serve in a Project Superintendent or Project Manager role for projects ranging from $60,000 to $38,000,000. Supervise and assess project needs throughout all aspects of large and complex projects. This includes, but is not limited to complex electrical and mechanical systems, reviewing contract documents such as shop drawings, submittals and construction plans, implementation of contracts in adherence to multifaceted specifications, coordinating with various state and local entities, and assurance of compliance with contract schedules. Manage sub contractor crews up to 100 personnel on site and coordinate with them through progress meetings and on site quality control checks. Prepare progress reports as well as administer progress and coordination meetings.  Wauseon Exempted Village School District, Wauseon Elementary and Middle Schools, Wauseon, OH [OSFC Project]: Served as on site Construction Manager for this $20 million dollar 138,000SF project from the ground up. Identified several design concerns during the design/ development phase which saved the project countless man-hours and tens of thousands of dollars. Project was completed on time and under budget.  Gorham-Fayette Local School District, Fayette, OH [OSFC Project]: Served as on-site Construction Manager of an early site package for a $13 million dollar 99, 277SF (K-12) School including all underground utilities, parking areas, and foundation footings.  Sentinel Career Center, Tiffin, OH [OSFC Project]: Served as on-site Construction Manager Superintendent for a 123,000SF renovation of all MEP systems within the facility. This project involved a $5.9 million dollar renovation and was completed $300,000 under budget. This project also met all requirements for LEED Silver certification. Currently serving as Project Superintendent for an Assisted Living Facility remodel including tenant rooms, administration offices, and common area additions.

Performed duties such as concrete form work, wood and metal framing, drywall and siding applications, window and door installation, fixture installation, various office furniture and handicap accessible feature installation, a diverse range of trim work, roofing membrane and asphalt shingle installation; served in supervisory positions in both commercial and residential construction environments with a total of three years supervisoryexperience. McDonald’s re-roof project, Toledo, OH: Served as the Project Superintendent and was responsible for ordering /acquiring materials, projecting and maintaining all manpower utilized on-site, coordinating with the owner to contain construction operations within operational boundaries to allow organization to maintain operations during construction. Despite crew’s lack of experience with the installation of the product, this project was completed on schedule. Dick’s Superstore, Toledo, OH: Served as a journeyman commercial carpenter installing entire interior package to include all shelving, signage, trim work, and other fixtures Max and Erma’s Restaurant, Levis Commons, OH: Served as interim interior trim work supervisor in the absence of the Project Superintendent. Responsibilities included projecting and maintaining all manpower utilized on site, creating and tracking all daily progress reports, coordinating with customer’s interior design firm to ensure the highest quality product.

Served as a Residential Journeyman Carpenter primarily involved in home building, renovations and agricultural farm buildings such as hog nurseries and cattle barns. My responsibilities entailed supervising the work crew when the superintendent left the job site and training the new carpenters as they were hired.

Rhoads Construction primarily built pole buildings for both residential and commercial applications. These applications included but are not limited to: Commercial fisheries, horse riding arenas, residential garages, machine shops, and commercial businesses. I served as a carpenter for the first year of my employment. I was then promoted to foreman and remained in that position for the remainder of my employment.
