In the summer of 2024, I worked as a General Contractor's Apprentice, collaborating closely with my supervisor to complete various on-site tasks. This hands-on experience allowed me to develop valuable construction skills and become proficient in using power tools essential for completing each job efficiently. Each day, learning something new, I gained expertise in concrete mixing, construction framing, carpentry, water line repair, and demolition.I currently work as a Part-Time Cashier at Poke Delight, a position I have held since early 2022. During my time here, I have gained valuable experience and taken on leadership responsibilities, including directing coworkers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently within their shifts. I have also had numerous opportunities to resolve customer complaints and issues, always striving for a smooth and professional resolution. Working at Poke Delight has taught me the importance of working as a team and collaborating to achieve our goals.Beginning in September 2024, I was designated Volunteer Notetaker under the CBU Disability Service Center. In this role, I am responsible for providing clear, well-organized, and legible notes for a student who cannot take their own, ensuring that they have equal access to the course material.I am currently in my third year at California Baptist University, pursuing a degree in civil engineering as a full-time student. Throughout my studies, I have gained proficiency in programs such as AutoCAD and Excel and have been introduced to critical engineering skills such as surveying and concrete testing. I am now actively seeking an internship to further develop my engineering experience and build the essential skills needed for my future career. I aspire to be a civil engineer with specialized expertise in structural design, committed to contributing to innovative projects that shape resilient and sustainable communities.
