Transportation Business Partner for one of Target’s 26 Regional Distribution Centers (RDC). - Responsible as the primary point of contact on all Logistics and Transportation matters within the distribution center and for service to 84 stores across 6 states. - Work across multiple departments/business pyramids to provide feedback on existing processes and present improvement ideas to senior management, headquarters process owners, and store leadership partners in regards to supply chain logistics.- Led the distribution center and our stores through the Transportation Network Optimization in which Target transformed their entire logistics process.Previously served as the RDC Logistics Group Leader- Led a team of 9 Logistics Technicians with daily responsibilities including: scheduling, expediting, creating and managing delivery schedules, and managing a Backhaul Program which annually saves the company over one million dollars in potential empty lanes.- High focus on best practices and partnerships to ensure Outbound Cubic Volumes in order to maximize transportation expense savings.- Led the distribution logistics department from an overall performance ranking of 21 out of 26 in FY2012 to 9th out of 26 in FY2013.- Developed and implemented a Store Partnership Action Plan focused on improving communication and relationships with our store partners. Directly resulted in an increase in the RDC’s Store Partnership Survey score from 79.8% in FY2012 to 92.1% in FY2013.- Developed and implemented a Cube Action Plan for the RDC. Directly resulted in an increase in the RDC’s Outbound Cubic Volume percentage from 72.3% in FY2012 to 75.6% in FY2013.- Managed third-party carrier providers responsible for the safe and timely movement of over 16,000 annual deliveries with over 99% on-time performance.- Led the Distribution Center’s Logistics Team to these significant results while maintaining a 99% Engagement/Approval rating from my team.
