Serves as Vice President of Regulatory & Operations at the Indiana Hospital Association, where he helps IHA members improve health care operations, information technology systems and cybersecurity, and implement telemedicine capabilities.

Responsible for leading the Division of Quality and Compliance. Division consists of teams of professionals who oversee the privacy and security functions of the FSSA agency, provide data and analytic support, and verify compliance activities through the agency’s program integrity, auditing, and investigations units.

Responsible for the functional areas of data/analytics, technology, project management,and privacy/security for all divisions under the FSSA umbrella. The agencies under FSSAinclude Aging, Mental Health, Medicaid, Rehab and Disability Services, and FamilyResources. FSSA is the state’s largest agency with over 7,000 state and contracted staff.Position has oversight in $758 Million of operational and technology contracts. Positionoversees $9.2M in budgeted staffing expense comprised of 105 FTE’s. Direct reports includeCIO, Chief Privacy/Security Officer, Deputy Director of Data/Analytics, and DeputyDirector of Project Management.

Indiana Health Information Technology (IHIT) is the State of Indiana designated entity for the development of health information exchange (HIE) services.

Responsible for managing the allocation of the $13.3 million ARRA HIT funding the statehas received. Serves as the CEO of Indiana's state designated entity, the Indiana HealthInformation Technology, Inc. (IHIT) and works with its Board of Directors to determine thebest use for the HIT funding. The role is responsible for working with local, state, federaland private partners to build collaboration with Indiana's other ARRA health informationexchange (HIE) funding recipients such as Purdue's Regional Extension Center, Ivy Tech,and the Beacon Community grant awarded to the Indiana Health Information Exchange(IHIE). The role ensures that FSSA's Medicaid HIT efforts are properly coordinated andintegrated with all statewide HIE / HIT initiatives. Serve as the state knowledge expert inEHR incentive programs, meaningful use, and HIT/HIE efforts.

Responsible for the operational oversight for Medical Imaging, Laboratory Services, Cardiopulmonary Services, Specialty Care Clinics , Cardiac Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, ExpressMed Clinic and 18 provider office practices. Other management experience includes Central Scheduling and Community Pharmacy (independent for profit). Oversight includes 220 FTEs, $61.1 Mil in gross revenue, and $18.6 Mil in budgeted expenses. Other responsibilities include strategic planning, ER satisfaction/turn around time improvement, revenue capture initiatives, capital acquisition, and other tasks directed by senior management.
