Led the curriculum development and execution of Civil Affairs and Civil-Military Operations courses for the Marine Corps, graduating over 300 students creating a professional community to advise and support senior leadership in the conduct of interaction with civilian aspects of conflict.

Served as Program Manager, Afghanistan-Pakistan (AFPAK) Hand Program planning and executing the training and education of Marine Officers to serve as Advisors and Trainers for Afghan Security Forces and civilian governance at various locations in Afghanistan. Served as Action Officer and Marine Corps representative for Women, Peace, and Security National Action Plan as well as Marine Corps Interagency Coordinator. Planned and executed the military training, language training, travel, and cultural training to support a continual presence of skilled counterinsurgency and stabilization professionals in Afghanistan and Pakistan successfully providing NATO units with high-level advisors and improved access and coordination with local populations. Orchestrated presentations and liaison between deploying Marine Corps units and interagency organizations increasing mutual support and coordination between the service and interagency in international security matters.

Served as advisor and trainer for Afghan Security Forces and civilian governance on two 12-month tours to Afghanistan. The first as the governance advisor to the District Governor to Marjeh District, Helmand Province Afghanistan. The second as the Deputy Director, Commander ISAF Advisory Assistance Team (CAAT) responsible for directing the NATO In-theater Advisor Course, developing advising policies and doctrine for ISAF, and insider threat (active shooter) cultural analysis. Between deployments attended National Defense University receiving a Master’s degree as well as participating in Dari language immersion training.
