Brenntag is a listed German company with a leading position(annual sales ~EUR20bln) in chemical distribution. Operating globally and organized in two divisions-Brenntag Essentials and Specialty chemicals. Key responsibilities:-Oversee finance operations in China and Hong Kong, incl Accounting,Credit control, Internal control, Treasury and tax, with close cooperation with regional SSC located in KL, Malaysia.-Drive and support strategic transformation journey across the region, incl but not limited to improvements in area of technology, digitization and automation, screen and roll out system enablers through our core platform SAP. -Challenge and contribute to pricing and margin management, review and correct basis of product costing and assure an effective margin/pricing control strategy. Initiatives of Working Capital improvements- challenge and guide improvement opportunities on DSO,DPO, leverage the BAD tool.-Deep dive, drive and realize efficiency improvement opportunities, to achieve >20% cost cut in CFO domain in 1st half year.-Cash flow and funding, refine cash pooling and funding structure(become more efficent and cost competitive).-Budget and planning in CFO domain(Finance, Treasury, Tax and Legal)-M&A projects, pre FDD, post review(audit) and integration-Internal control(ICS) and govenance support, drive and design DoA for APAC, risk reporting& management and country compliance support/coordination. -Lead a team of >40, incl JV finance team-Member of board in the responsible region

•Build and reshape Regional Accounting center(SSC) in APAC, oversee financial operations(RTR,PTP, and OTC, incl Credit control and Tax) supporting all business units, plants across the region.Cover entire APAC region with annual sales at $1.6bln(global revenue near $6bln), >20 plants/entities in11 countries and 8 languages•Drive Continuous improvement and process efficiency to a next level via digitalization and automation(translated into FTE reduction >25%)•Business partnering, advise accounting treatment when submit investment proposal, review commercial contracts..Participate in strategic transformation projects like M&A and its integration.

•A global role supporting the business unit worldwide (revenue >€1bln,>15 plants across EMEA,APAC and LATAM).•Next to the BU global role, play a regional role as Regional Accounting Manager for the business area in Asia Pacific, supporting all the 5 business units and .leading regional accounting team located in various countries outside China.•A strategic business partner to BU Controller, and a member of BU Financial Leadership Team (FLT).•Review key contracts (both investment and procurement), projects and investments for the BU, advise financial consequences, accounting policies and treatments.• Adapt business area continuous improvement policies, streamline processes into the business unit, and realize efficiency improvement opportunities.•Review B/S and monitor Month/Quarter end closing process, deliver monthly accounting analysis/comments to the global head office in the NL.

• Member of Finance Committee, AkzoNobel China, representing the BU to coordinate projects and finance talent pooling cross business units in China.• Support central functions (BA/BU) on office controlling activities and look after compliance/In-Control matters (CSAT) as well.• Organizational development, lead accounting teams/hubs (>30 people) located in multiple countries (region) in Asia, including China, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan.• Financial reporting& analysis, quality assurance of month end and year end closing/reporting, balance sheet review etc.• Business partnering, close interactions(via user panel) with stakeholders, proactive involvement with key initiatives of (s) BU’s.• Project management, lead and coordinate on multiple strategic financial projects, such as implementation of FSSC, Standard Chart of Account, Blend (SAP integration), Payment Factory, LER (Legal entity reduction).

• A member of Regional Business Team (RBT), look after controlling/FP&A for both supply chain and commercial.• Management reporting, work closely with regional accounting center and deliver first time right financial information to sBU management team.• Budget and planning, prepare Rolling Forecast (every 3 months), analyze and monitor budget development, challenge and drive improvement together with RBT.• Internal control, utilize CSAT (AkzoNobel’s version of SoX), advise and maintain a set of internal control policies/procedures to ensure a healthy/comfortable in-control framework, and compliance with group/local laws/regulations.• Transfer pricing, compute/instruct and monitor transfer pricing, and ensure complying with group policy of transfer pricing.• Project support,heavily involve in restructuring and integrating sales&marketing organization and the product line of Sulfur products in Asia and eventually realize successfully the planned synergies.

• Lead a team (7 people) and manage daily finance and accounting operations.• Budgeting and planning, assist FD in budget preparation, and providing variance analysis.• Cost control, analyzing/monitoring Capex/Opex (vs budgets).• Assist FD in analyzing OWC, and risk management(insurance).• Project management and support-achieved a few key projects i.e.successful implementation of ZBB (Zero Based Budget), SAP implementation (FI/CO), set-up of cash pooling, financial audits for acquisition of the remaining 20% company share from its Chinese partner.

• Lead a small team (3 people) and oversee finance and accounting operations.• Supervise HR matters in the regional office, mainly C&B, recruiting, annual performance appraisal for employees, etc.

-In the 1st year, accountant, learn,execute transactional tasks like financial postings in local ERP system, product costing, tax reporting and filing, financial reporting, etc..-As from the following year, relocated to its largest branch office in Chengdu, promoted to finance supervisor and oversee all finance and accounting operations.

• Business development and sales promotion in Nanjing city which was a new market for Kingdee group.
