As a Senior Data Scientist at Humana, I apply my skills in machine learning, Python, R, SQL, and data visualization to build models, dashboards, and reports that inform and improve the healthcare outcomes of our patients. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Data Science from the University of Evansville in 2019, where I developed a strong foundation in data analysis, statistics, and programming.Some of my recent projects at Humana include building an XGBoost model to predict future acute care utilization, a logistic regression model to identify patients with undiagnosed congestive heart failure, and a K-means clustering model to segment target audiences for marketing. I communicate my findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, such as executives, physicians, and marketing leaders, using Tableau, Power BI, and PowerApps.
