I am a commercial litigation attorney who over the past thirty years has represented insurance companies, corporations, municipalities and individuals in declaratory judgment actions and contractual disputes in both federal and state courts throughout the United States. I have litigated complex coverage and contractual disputes in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and California. I combine my specialized knowledge in insurance coverage and contractual indemnification and the particular areas of rescission and bad faith with my appellate practice and construction defect litigation. In addition, I have experience with a variety of coverages including general liability, professional liability, commercial auto, property, businessowners, business risk, homeowners and OCIP and have successfully prevailed in Illinois cases of first impression applying the business risk exclusions and the false pretense exclusion. I have also assisted with the drafting of professional liability policy provisions and exclusions and claim repair. I serve on the Legal faculty of Lawline in New York and have routinely been asked to speak at seminars and conferences regarding insurance coverage.
