Accomplishments- Turned the two-person manual slotting process into a single-person process by developing an Excel-based tool using VBA, SQL, browser automation and userforms to query the Oracle database for product and location data. Further reduced the slotting process time by 20.6% by applying Lean Manufacturing concepts to identify and implement workflow and GUI changes.- Consolidated and augmented the information communicated through 5 separate SSRS reports by creating an interactive dashboard to provide real-time visibility of data relevant to production planning decisions, fraud order interception, and work capacity monitoring.- Developed tools and suggested policy changes / areas of focus for improving the slotting and putaway process by baselining the impact of the location overflow problem, using Lean Six Sigma collaboration techniques, process mapping, ANOVA, requirements gathering and statistical analysis.- Streamlined equipment and personnel usage by creating a waving process to split open-stock and palletized products combined on the same order.
