Using this imaging technique, the electrical activity over the epicardial surface of the heart could be mapped. In the course of my research I have studied a range of different physiological and pathophysiological paradigm’s, in relation to their effects on cardiac electrophysiology. These include: hypothermia, acute ischemia, chronic myocardial infarction and forms of cardiac pacing (e.g. Bi-ventricular pacing). Better understanding of these phenomenon undoubtedly presents important clinical implications for optimising treatment and care of patients. -
