PowerLeaf is a science- and data-driven SaaS company built to help consumers, manufacturers and retailers better understand the effect of cannabis. In 2023 I began helping the founders of PureVita Labs (a Brown University medical doctor and a PhD Chemist from England) build PowerLeaf by creating its business plan, go-to-market strategy, financial projections, retail and wholesale partnerships, product and marketing strategy, as well as establishing numerous proofs-of-concept, managing our 3rd party software vendor to build PowerLeaf v01, launch PowerLeaf beta in market and raise capital for national roll out.

Purevita Labs is a Cannabis & Hemp Testing Laboratory and Data Analytics Firm, founded by medical doctors and PhD chemists, set out to protect the consumer by creating a brand that elevates regulatory testing standards and advances the science of cannabis through data analytics. Purevita has established its first lab in Rhode Island and will continue to expand into other states in the near future. We exist to enhance lives and make moments better through cannabis. Purevita Labs will a be a leader in advancing the science and culture of the cannabis industry by challenging the status quo, fearlessly innovating and delivering certainty, control and comfort. We stand for integrity, passion, accountability empowerment and empathy.My role with Purevita Labs began with the cofounders during their ideation period. I helped two medical doctors and one PhD chemist formulate our business plan, financial projections and go-to-market strategy. We raised capital, built our lab, and hired our staff. We’ve achieved a majority market share and continue to innovate. In my role as COO I'm responsible for all business operations, finance, HR/ team development, GTM strategy, and support strategy, sales, customer service, new product development and marketing.

TagLeaf is a market leading SaaS startup company with a first of its kind LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) software for state certified cannabis testing laboratories. I joined TagLeaf to help the founder evolve TagLeaf from startup phase to growth mode. Our objective is to raise additional capital, build a more robust team, and instill longer term processes to ensure we service our existing customers better and onboard current customer pipeline faster. In this role I oversee all business operations, finance, HR/ team development, and support strategic initiatives.

Lead all business operations and strategic planning initiatives for young and rapidly growing SaaS company. Mature all operations, processes and planning to achieve scale. Identify root cause for process inefficiencies and implement solutions. Work with executive team to manage strategic planning process. Establish and monitor key reporting metrics to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

Sidekick is a home improvement concierge platform, providing homeowners with a trusted and local single point of contact to help manage all their home project needs, big or small.An entrepreneur at heart, I jumped at this opportunity and in just over two years built Sidekick into a 12-person company with over $1.5M in sales. In my role as co-founder, I played the de facto Chief Operating Officer, leading all things related to Operations, Finance, Staff Management, and Customer Service, while also sharing the responsibility for Strategy, Marketing, and Investor Relations. Effectively driving our P&L, implementing our CRM and building our tech platform, while driving a 75% repeat customer rate were essential to our success. We worked as a team to craft our vision into reality by developing and executing clear plans, standard operating procedures, and measurable goals leading to consistent monthly growth.

As a part of a larger multi-year reinvention of the brand we established a new team of specialized business minded managers to develop and implement long-term go-to-market and growth strategies for all our international markets. In this role I was responsible for building and leading our team of strategists and analysts, creating new processes to develop 3-5 year plans in conjunction with our international markets, and liaised with Reebok’s in-market General Managers to ensure targets were achieved. These business plans were carefully curated for each individual market covering all areas of the business including marketing, product, distribution, financials, team development and go-to-market. This role also afforded me the opportunity to circumnavigate the globe a number of times working in Russia, Korea, Japan, China, Dubai, India, Australia, Europe, South America and Canada.

In this role I worked as a part of a close-knit team to manage key business process improvements, marketing operation milestones, internal event management, cost-saving initiatives as well as special strategic projects such as researching M&A targets, corporate restructures and new business opportunities.

Following Business school I wanted to broaden my experiences and decided to move from small no-profit to large for-profit. As a part of The Home Depot’s Business Leadership Program I was exposed to the senior leaders of the $80B company and worked in its Store Operations division. Our team worked to improve the complicated and expensive New Store Opening Process – an opportunity to open stores faster and more efficiently, potentially earning the company hundreds of millions of additional profit.

Strong values are an important part of my character which is what attracted me to work for the purpose-driven Special Olympics. At SO I was surrounded by great leaders and mentors and was afforded the opportunity to lead a team of 4 at a young age. I learned more in these 5 years about management and leadership than most other roles as our team planned and executed large sporting events, managed thousands of volunteers and ensured a great experience for tens of thousands of athletes across 26 sports.
