The two teams found understanding one another's corporate culture difficult, so I was put in as interim CEO to assist both sides to understand whether there was a good business, and if so to exploit it. The company moved from loss making to growth within 12 months through simple changes to our sales strategy, internal processes and general efficiency of operation. The relationship between the parent and subsidiary was significantly improved to the point where the unit was seen to be a strategic asset.

Active Memory Technology developed a massively parallel processing system based on fine-grained parallel systems.I was responsible initially for evaluating new customer requirements and mapping them to our systems. I then took over the European Sales for the company, driving the systems in to major corporates and research groups.

QMW parallel processing lab, part of London University, develops new technologies and best practices around parallel processing.At the lab I researched non-numeric processing language implementations on fine-grained parallel processors, and ran in-depth teaching courses for practitioners in parallel processing.
