I was exposed to several factors of design, engineering, and manufacturing small and large scale projects.Ranging from high-performance electronics testing, to production equipment design, and a large amount of designing and manufacturing tubular structures, the experience I gained over the summer was unimaginableAs key improvements to my personal skills, I learned how to effectively communicate my design requirements through my dimensioned drawings. I went out onto the floor of each manufacturing facility to spoke one-on-one with each technician for them to critique my drawings, from sheet metal cutting & forming, to welding jigs and fixtures, paint and finish, and even inter-company transportation. I wanted to make their lives as easy as possible with understanding my notations, dimensions, and highlights. This way, I eliminated every possibility of spending other's time and money to complete my assembly that could have ultimately failed. Show less
