Duties within Technology Division involve designing, building, and implementing systems used internally, interdepartmentally, and publicly via server, cloud, desktop, and mobile platforms. These have included Microsoft Power Platform / SharePoint, Esri, Oracle, Tableau, and more. Built SFPD’s first GIS server (ESRI full Base Deployment including Portal in conjunction with AGOL cloud, desktop, and mobile) configured as a fully scalable, high availability, department-wide enterprise system that directly leveraged law enforcement data and systems (SFPD data warehouses, SF Dpt. of Technology GIS, outside resources).Previously with the Crime Analysis Unit where I created and maintained the Interim GIS including tools and systems designed for geocoding, ETL, geoprocessing, spatial data housing / maintenance, and other GIS management tasks including oversight of key data sets, visualization templates, and apps used throughout the department.

Though I didn't win, I received more than a thousand votes, took part in numerous public forums, debates, election events, and presentations, and came away from the experience with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the local democratic process and the many individuals and groups that work so tirelessly within it.

Managed all GIS elements of a wide variety of projects and libraries spanning multiple states and countries for such clients as the Navy, Army Corps of Engineers, US EPA, and numerous other agencies and private companies. Oversaw and trained GIS technicians as they performed cartographic, modeling and analysis tasks using an extensive range of GIS, CAD and associated data types. Performed complex 2 and 3 dimensional mapping, modeling and analysis and delegated project work to appropriate technicians and experts both in the office and within Tetra Tech’s world-wide network. Kept senior management apprised of evolving GIS capabilities in order to bolster client services. Attended conferences, meetings, and trainings to keep up with new technologies and techniques, marketed the company's GIS capabilities to clients, and performed advanced project work with other GIS and non-GIS professionals.
